That Ball character is a Fantastic Rig to practice walks and jumps. Here's one more for
MAYA i came accross..
This is the full featured Alf rig which I used in "M-Balla-Balla".
There is four layers in the scene:
1. animationControlsLayer: This layers contains all the controls.
2. lowPolyLayer: This layer contains a low poly of the character for fast playback.
3. animLayer: This layer contains a non textured mesh for use when animating.
4. renderLayer:
This layer contains the shaded and textured mesh. Set the mesh "smooth" to 1 or 2 before you render. The smooth attribute is located on the visibility curve below the character.
I recommend creating a reference of the file before you start animating ( File > Create Reference... ).
